Mum has received superb care at Hawthorn Lodge. The staff go above and beyond in their daily care and support and in accompanying her to hospital and doctor’s appointments. The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat like a home from home and visitors are made most welcome. There are celebrations like fireworks night and birthdays and various activities and treats for residents. Mum is happy and stimulated and really loves the food provided. The dedicated and caring staff treat all the residents as individuals and mum is thriving socially.

Daughter of Resident

My mum receives excellent care and support. The food is brilliant and the staff can not do enough for her. I would recommend the home. The cleaning is spotless, managers great and the carers are fantastic.

I have worked at Hawthorn Lodge since 2016, and began my journey as a cleaner. Once I started the role, I felt very passionate toward the service users' well-being, and I wanted become more involved with the service users day to day lives, so I trained as a care assistant. I then began to train as a senior carer, because I wanted to expand my knowledge, and this lead to me becoming Head of Care in 2022. In 2024, due to unforeseen circumstances within the home, I began to train as a manager, and I received my CQC registration in September 2024.
